Job Description

Integrated Staffing supports U.S.-based clients with staffing and project-delivery solutions for low-voltage telecommunications, structured cabling, fiber, access control, Wi-Fi, networking, technical infrastructure and field services.

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who can identify, pursue and close profitable business with U.S.-based organizations.

This is not a passive lead-generation or administrative sales-support position. The successful candidate must actively find decision-makers, initiate conversations, qualify opportunities, conduct discovery calls, follow up consistently and help convert qualified opportunities into signed, profitable agreements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prospecting and Pipeline Development

* Identify U.S.-based companies that need low-voltage, telecommunications, network-infrastructure, field-service or staffing support.

* Build targeted prospect lists using LinkedIn, industry directories, procurement portals, referrals, professional associations and online research.

* Conduct outbound prospecting through telephone calls, email, LinkedIn and other approved channels.

* Identify and contact decision-makers in operations, facilities, information technology, construction, procurement, project management and vendor management.

* Develop relationships with direct clients, general contractors, technology integrators, manufacturers, healthcare organizations, data centers, logistics companies, retailers and other qualified organizations.

* Maintain a consistent pipeline of prospects, qualified opportunities, proposals and follow-up activities.

* Re-engage previous and inactive clients when authorized.

Discovery and Qualification

* Conduct professional discovery calls with U.S.-based prospects.

* Understand the client’s technical requirements, locations, schedule, budget, decision process and purchasing requirements.

* Determine whether opportunities align with the company’s capabilities, pricing and risk standards.

* Identify whether an opportunity involves direct project work, staffing, project delivery or another service model.

* Recognize unprofitable, poorly defined or excessively risky opportunities.

* Collect the information necessary for leadership to make an informed bid-or-no-bid decision.

* Verify decision-makers, purchasing authority, expected timelines and next steps.

* Assess potential clients for payment risk, contract requirements and long-term value.

Sales and Closing

* Present Integrated Staffing’s capabilities professionally and accurately.

* Coordinate technical discussions with operations and project-management personnel.

* Prepare or assist with proposals, presentations, capability statements and follow-up materials.

* Maintain consistent follow-up throughout long sales cycles.

* Address objections and explain the value of the company’s services.

* Support contract discussions while ensuring all pricing and terms receive proper approval.

* Move qualified prospects toward signed agreements and active projects.

* Never make unauthorized promises concerning pricing, staffing, schedules, credit terms, technical capabilities or contractual obligations.

* Never approve contracts, discounts, purchases or pricing without authorization.

Client Development and Retention

* Maintain regular communication with new and existing clients.

* Support a professional transition from sales into project delivery.

* Remain involved after the sale to confirm that expectations are being met.

* Identify additional locations, departments, services and future opportunities.

* Work with project management to address concerns before they damage the client relationship.

* Help turn successful initial projects into repeat business and long-term accounts.

* Maintain accurate records of client commitments, preferences and future needs.

* Conduct structured post-project follow-up to identify additional opportunities.

TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING

Candidates should understand:

* Low-voltage telecommunications

* Structured cabling

* Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A cabling

* Fiber-optic cabling

* Network switches and routers

* Wireless access points

* Racks, cabinets and patch panels

* MDF and IDF telecommunications rooms

* Access-control systems

* Network-infrastructure deployments

* Technical field-service work

* Site surveys

* Bills of materials

* Statements of work

* Technician qualifications and certifications

The salesperson is not expected to engineer or program systems. However, the person must understand the services well enough to ask appropriate questions, accurately represent company capabilities and avoid selling work that cannot be delivered safely or profitably.
