Job Summary:

Accounting professional specializing in full-cycle accounting for real estate portfolios, including property acquisitions and multi-entity operations. Experienced in accrual-basis accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and tax tracking. Skilled in managing day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, and sales tax compliance. Proficient in QuickBooks Online and related systems, with a strong focus on accurate reporting, organized chart of accounts management, client onboarding, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and compliant financial operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple real estate properties, including newly purchased assets.
  • Review and reconcile closing statements related to property acquisitions and transactions.
  • Maintain and oversee accrual-basis accounting, including monthly and year-end accruals.
  • Accrue and track tax payments and other property-related obligations.
  • Handle inter-company transactions and transfers across entities and properties.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with property managers to gather financial data and ensure timely reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for real estate investors, property managers, and senior living facilities.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly and accurately.
  • Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, and sales tax filings as assigned.
  • Build and maintain a clean and organized chart of accounts.
  • Produce accurate monthly financial reports and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Support client onboarding, including connecting and setting up accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Keeper, and related systems.
  • Collaborate with the account manager and team through Slack, Asana, and Notion.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines and bookkeeping best practices.
  • Participate in financial cleanups and diagnostics when needed.
What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 1 year of U.S.-based professional experience.
  • Over 5 years of professional accounting/bookkeeping background.
  • One year of working with real estate, property management, or service-based businesses (preferred).
  • Must have experience with Double (formerly Keeper).
  • Must have experience with any Property Management application.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Keeper, Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and best bookkeeping practices.
  • Preferred: QBO ProAdvisor certification.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and client-facing ability.
