Direct Reports: 3-4 Bookkeepers
Service Capacity: 40-50 client accounts
Location: Antipolo City, Rizal
Clasifficiation: Full-time, technical leadership stack
Role Purpose:
The Service Supervisor is the quality gate and technical conscience of the Antipolo Accounting service unit. This role ensures every client file meets audit-ready standards before it leaves the team, coaches Bookkeepers from error to excellence, and serves as the technical escalation point for complex BIR and GAAP matters. Where Bookkeepers execute and Unit Managers optimize, the Supervisor guarantees defensibility.
Core Responsibilities
1. Technical Review & Quality Assurance (40%)
> Monthly review of all Bookkeeper workpapers
> Bank reconciliation verification
> BIR form pre-filing sign-off
> Chart of accounts integrity review
> Prior-period adjustment authority
2. Team Development & Coaching (25%)
> Weekly 1:1s with each Bookkeeper
> Monthly team training session
> New Bookkeeper onboarding shadow
> Promotion readiness evaluation
3. Client-Facing Technical Authority (20%)
> Quarterly business reviews (Tier 2–3 clients)
> BIR controversy response
> Complex GAAP judgment calls
> Client technical inquiries beyond Bookkeeper scope
4. Operational Efficiency (10%)
> Realization monitoring per Bookkeeper
> Workflow optimization
> SOP gap identification
5. Internal Audit Interface (5%)
> Support quarterly engagement audits
> Implement remediation plans
> Calibration sessions
Technical Qualifications
>Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related field
Certification
>Preferred: CPA license or in-progress (passed board, completing requirements)
>Acceptable: Certified Bookkeeper (CB), Registered Cost Accountant (RCA), or equivalent professional credential
>5–7 years in bookkeeping, public accounting, or MSME finance roles, with minimum 2 years in lead or review capacity
>Required: Portfolio of 50+ client files reviewed, with documented error detection, correction coaching, and BIR filing accuracy
>Deep working knowledge of BIR forms, eFPS/eBIRForms, assessment procedures, and common MSME compliance traps
>Expert: Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Sage
Advanced: Excel (pivot tables, SUMIFS, data validation)
Advantageous: BIR digital platforms, audit analytics tools
>Current knowledge of National Internal Revenue Code, Revenue Regulations, and GAAP/IFRS for SMEs; demonstrated ability to research and interpret new issuances
