Job Description

Key Responsibilities 
1. Accounts Payable Support/vessel accounting (Primary Focus – XX%)
• Encode and record supplier invoices (local and foreign)
• Match invoices with: 
o Purchase requests
o Delivery receipts
o Approved contracts/allotments
• Prepare Accounts Payable schedules per vessel/principal
• Assist in the preparation of payment vouchers and bank documents

2. General Accounting & Books Support for PBMI (XX%)
• Encode journal entries under supervision
• Assist in: 
o Expense analysis by vessel
o Cost center coding
• Maintain schedules for: 
o Prepaid expenses
o Accrued expenses
• Help update monthly closing checklists

3. General Accounting & Books Support for Neofit Kantina (XX%)
• Encode journal entries under supervision
• Maintain schedules for: 
o Prepaid expenses
o Accrued expenses
• Help update monthly closing checklists

4. Tax & Compliance Support (XX%)
• Assist in preparation of: 
o VAT schedules/refund requests
o Expanded withholding tax (EWT) schedules
• Compile documents for: 
o BIR filings
o Auditor requests
• Maintain tax filing folders and audit trails

5. Administrative & Team Support (XX%)
• Assist in audit preparations (internal/external)
• Coordinate with: 
o Operations
o Admin teams for documentation
• Other accounting-related tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager / Finance Head

Reporting Line
• Reports to: Accounting Senior, Accounting Manager, and Head of Finance

Career Progression 
This position is structured as a starter role with clear growth potential:
• Year 1-3: Accounting Staff
• Year 4-6: Senior Accounting Staff
• Year 7+: Accounting Supervisor (performance-based)

Job Requirements

Qualifications (Fresh Graduate–Friendly)
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in: 
o Accountancy
o Accounting Technology
o Management Accounting
o Business administration
o Finance / Economics
Experience
• No work experience required
• Internship / OJT in accounting is an advantage

Skills & Competencies
Required
• Basic accounting knowledge (debit/credit, AP/AR)
• Demonstrates Team collaboration and Team spirit
• Good command of English – oral and written
• Experience in the Ship Management industry is an advantage
• Knowledgeable in account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
• Experience in dealing/working in a multi-cultural workplace
• Willing to learn ship management and manning operations
• Can follow instructions and established processes
