Paper Cutter Operator
Job Description
Operate electric/programmable guillotine cutter for various print materials
Execute accurate cutting based on job specifications, layouts, and crop marks
Ensure consistency and precision across batch production
Inspect printed materials prior to cutting to prevent errors and rework
Coordinate with pre-press and production teams to align on job requirements
Handle a variety of materials including coated stocks, laminated prints, and specialty media
Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the cutting machine
Follow safety procedures and proper machine operation protocols
Monitor and minimize material waste during production
Job Requirements
At least 1–2 years of experience as a cutter operator in a printing or production environment
Proven experience operating electric or programmable guillotine cutters
Strong understanding of paper types, grain direction, and finishing processes
Ability to read and interpret job orders, layouts, and cutting guides
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Physically fit and able to handle production materials
