We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Virtual Assistant to provide administrative support to healthcare professionals and medical practices. The ideal candidate has experience working in a medical setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential patient information while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries professionally.

Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.

Manage calendars for physicians and healthcare providers.

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.

Assist with patient intake and registration.

Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).

Process referrals, authorizations, and medical documentation.

Coordinate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies.

Handle medical billing support and follow up on claims, when required.

Prepare and organize reports, forms, and other administrative documents.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.

Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant, Medical Receptionist, Medical Biller, or similar healthcare administrative role.

Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Kareo, DrChrono, or similar).

Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and healthcare workflows.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting U.S., Canadian, Australian, or UK healthcare providers.
