Job Description

Position Purpose
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the overall management of procurement activities, supplier development, and cost optimization strategies. This role ensures that Fujimak secures reliable and competitive suppliers aligned with customer requirements while supervising purchasing and logistics teams to achieve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
1. Procurement Strategy & Execution
•Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with company and client requirements.
•Secure reliable suppliers to support bid/tender processes and approach new vendors based on customer specifications.
•Continuously monitor market and cost trends to optimize procurement decisions.

2. Supplier Relationship Management
•Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular meetings and evaluations.
•Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure cost-competitive solutions.
•Maintain alternative sourcing options (Plan A / Plan B) to mitigate risks and provide cost-effective proposals.

3. Team Management & Supervision
•Lead and supervise the Procurement Team (2 staff) and Logistics Staff (1 staff).
•Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluation for team members.
•Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and operational standards.

4. Process Improvement & Compliance
•Establish and maintain effective purchasing systems, documentation, and supplier databases.
•Ensure compliance with corporate governance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
•Drive continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and supplier performance.

Job Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of procurement experience in a related industry  (industry-specific background required).
Strong supplier network and proven negotiation skills.
Leadership and supervisory experience in procurement and logistics management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
High integrity, accountability, and business acumen.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Saturday, Sunday, and holidays off)
